Why do we believe VR has a place in safety training?

At EXR, we work with our clients to replica incidents, procedures and situations that are hard to replicate in the real world. Virtual Reality training is absolutely not a replacement for traditional training, but more of an addition to allow people to train more effectively for situations that don't occur often enough to learn from them. Our clients also find it beneficial for providing their employees with a visual aid of what incidents may would look like and the steps they need to take for effective incident management.

When utilising Virtual Reality training, delegates do not need to be in a shared location, this allows training sessions to be carried out with members from around the world whilst all in the same sessions. The benefits of this are that it reduces time away from site, it enables the training to be much more immersive even whilst delegates are not in the same physical location. It also provides the ability to practice procedures before actually arriving on the asset, meaning you can have knowledge on operations and incident management on the site even from across the world.

Evolution XR works alongside Evolution Risk Assurance to enhance high hazard development events to the highest standard. We've worked alongside our clients to not only create scenarios that are effective, but scenarios that aid the asset in becoming more efficient throughout operations training and incident response.

- Allows asset to not have to come off line to view how equipment works

- Much safer to demonstrate incidents and train for them

- Allows unlimited repetition of scenarios to ensure delegates are as confident as possible
